But you knew that.Shirleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07528306043773141973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1916237518997297516.post-8101853734497900772008-10-09T01:47:00.000+01:002008-10-09T01:47:00.000+01:00LaDawn,I have finally started a blog. When he would appear in the office he would leave a path of destruction just like a helicopter does when it takes off and lands. That's the metaphor being used here. Parents swoop in and out of their children's lives to save the day or be more involved than they should be. Particularly when the child is older than 18 and has left home.LaDawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18355982914736694620noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1916237518997297516.post-59225526085049948642008-10-08T19:20:00.000+01:002008-10-08T19:20:00.000+01:00Is "helicopter" a British term? We did have a mother call and beg to rehire her son after he was let go because he couldn't seem to get up to go to work on time.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03414688607675416002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1916237518997297516.post-37114247610038551302008-10-08T13:30:00.000+01:002008-10-08T13:30:00.000+01:00I had not heard of the helicopter before... going ...I had not heard of the helicopter before... going on job interviews?
