Charlotte's Web was one of my favourite books when I was a child. Despite the recent film taking a bit of a hit with the critics we took the children to see it on Sunday afternoon. I thought it was cute. Abigail wanted to fall asleep midway through. Sebastian enjoyed it although he thought it was sad that Charlotte had to die. Equally, he grasped that dying is part of living which I suppose is the whole morale behind the story. I still prefer the book to the film and have made a mental note to ensure that the children add this to their childhood reading list.
