Just want to send you a cyber-hug and hope you’re days have brightened. What a lovely tribute you wrote for Aunt Joyce. I’ll never forget how lovingly she always spoke of you and all of her grandchildren – she adored you all and was so proud of each and every one of your accomplishments. She always showed great kindness and respect to me as well. She was acquainted with some of my relatives who lived in the Denver area and never failed to ask me about them. She always listened graciuosly to me, no matter what I was blabbering about. It’s one of the things I learned from her that I have tried to emulate – the art of listening – REALLY listening and not just keeping still until it’s my turn to tell a story.
Also, her brisket with beer recipe is THE BEST thing that ever happened to a slab of meat!
